Never been to the area. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of going to Astroworld, so I plan on taking my 7 & 11 yr old soon. Any other suggestions on things to do in this area? Any great outdoors to explore?

Try and go when the Rangers are in town. The ballpark at Arlington won't be around in a few years.

They let kids in? Or should I leave them in the car? Bring wife or leave her in car too?

Cedar Ridge Preserve is only 5 miles from Arlington. Its like being in the hill country.....really hilly.....and has hiking trails. And the Audobon society has a park near there called Dogwood Canyon. Problem is it will be hot as balls. You could also check out the Stockyards in Fort Worth. They have a daily cattle drive for the tourists.

I believe Legends is in Houston. Could be wrong. If you are worn out after a long day at the park tell the wife and kids to hang at the hotel/pool and you head over to Redneck Heaven in Arlington to grab some takeout.
You will thank me later.

Legends also exists in Arlington. It is across the street from six flags

I certainly never claimed to know where every strip club is located. Just most. Ironically I will be in Arlington in the middle of June for a few days. Thanks for the tip although I may hit one strip club every couple of years even though I travel often.

I have a joke with a buddy from dallas about legends being a legend. I personally haven't been in a very long time. For all I know it is gone

I know you said Arlington, but for kids your age the Dallas world aquarium is legit. It is more zoo than aquarium and is really close to pecan lodge for some food.

The fort Worth zoo is one of the top ones in the country.
