Wife wants to head to Seaside the week after Easter. A quick look at rentals and it seems most are houses or tiny cottages or condos above businesses. What’s the best place to stay to get the 30A experience. We have a one year old, 5 year old and 7 year old so trying to make life easy and convenient as possible .

Me and the wifes family recently stayed in the neighborhood behind The Hub in Watersound. The hub is a cool outdoor small mall type place with music, bars, restaurants, shops, market, all right in front of the neighborhood. you could walk there from the adjacent neighborhoods too. Tons a families out there for music on friday and saturday night.

I found seaside to be more crowded and more like a giant mall. Our condo came with a golf cart so you can drive to an of the towns. There may be rules for 1 year old in golf carts though.

Kind of depends how much you want to spend and what you enjoy most. My preference is Rosemary but if you ask 10 people, you’ll get 10 answers.

3 responses and you already have Watersound, Alys and Rosemary.

Main thing is I want somewhere easy to be on the beach with the older kids and allow the wife to go up to the room or walk to shops with the little one . Then be able to walk to dinner or entertainment with the family

Budget is about 400-500 a night

I always start on Vrbo because it includes just about everything and you can drill down by location and price. Once you find what you want, go direct to the rental mgmt company and rent direct to save the vrbo fees.

Seacrest and Rosemary both have condos within 1/4 mile from the beach and tons of shops between the two. Plus you’re right off 98.

Something like this might work for you:

LINK

It's in Rosemary beach, a few minutes walk to the beach/shopping.

Watercolor Inn or The Pearl. Checks the boxes you’re looking for

IMO it doesn't get better than Watercolor for kids. You can walk to Seaside easily but it's less hectic and the renovated beach club is very good.

I think I've stayed in every section of 30A at this point.

This site is usually the easiest, here’s one of their available places:

Watersound

I've liked Watersound the best out of the different parts of 30A we have stayed at. The Hub, Beach Club, and it being less crowded

Seaside is where you want to go. Bring the fam, rent a house…enjoy. Get your beach stuff rented as soon as you know what beach access you’ll have. Sorry my link didn’t work…but that’s the company you want to rent from.

Wife and I are staying at the Pearl this summer, can’t wait.

Oh yea, you get wrist bands and codes to gates and doors, parking passes…

Better hurry though, I didn’t see any ideal location ones (closest to the horseshoe) 2 bedrooms.

Yea, ’246’ is cool. Scroll down to the map and you can see how far the pools are.

ETA: maybe scary stairs…may have to make a list of agencies who rent in Seaside and just giving them a call.

You can drive golf carts all around the different communities and to the beach if you have a house not on the beach?

A lot of seaside requires you to cross a road to access the beach. With a 1 year old, particularly if you are still two naps a day, that “commute” to the beach kind of stinks. With the one year old I’d go wherever you can that gives you the shortest, easiest access to the beach (or pool).
