We are going to a concert at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. It’s a girls trip and we’ve never been to Atlanta. Does anyone have a recommendation of a safe place to stay that we could possibly just walk back to after the concert?

There are a couple right around there. Search near Centennial Park.

Several times I have stayed at the Omni Hotel which is right near there. It was just fine.

And I have been to events at the Tabernacle. It is an atmospheric place.

Within a 5-10 minute walk of the Tabernacle, you have multiple hotels.

Omni, Embassy Suites, Glenn Hotel, Hilton Garden Inn, Hyatt Place, Hampton Inn, Hotel Indigo, Westin Peachtree Plaza, Ritz, etc...

OP is female, with a bunch of women. OP, I suggest you find any hotel that you can catch an Uber/Lyft to. You probably won't get assaulted on the way back to a nearby hotel, but.. is probably good enough, especially when everyone has been drinking?

I just looked through what is playing there for the next six weeks, and it doesn't instill a lot of confidence. You'll probably be fine, but you're also asking the question here, which tends to tell me you're not really OK with it.

There’s prob 4-6 hotels within 2 blocks of the Tab. It’s not bad to walk

Thanks everyone. I think we are just going to stay at Embassy Suites and take an Uber back just to be extra safe. We are going see Dylan Scott and was supposed to see Aerosmith but Aerosmith is now postponed. We will also have a teenage girl with us so we just want to be as safe as possible

You’re right in an area called the “hotel district”. AC Hotel (Marriott property) is one block over. I’ve been to dozens of concerts at the Tabernacle and never felt threatened in that area. People are so soft - act like it’s something from Escape From New York

You'll be fine in that area. Right next to Centennial Park and the ferris wheel. I've had my kids down there at night several times.

If it was 3 am and she's by herself that's one thing. She'll be with a group and there will be roughly 2500 people leaving at the same time and many will likely be heading in the same direction. Lots of police presence in that area after concerts as well.
