Early July, in proximity to LSU... Willing to drive 10-15 mins away. Will have multiple families, lots of kids. Any particular area I should focus on, or steer clear from?

Stay away from streets named after states or presidents.

How many is multiple families with lots of kids? How long are y’all wanting to stay?

I just looked at VRBO and the only houses I would stay at in the BR area are $500+ a night.

AirBnB looks like it has some better options, but they are expensive as well.

This one is in a good location where you are close enough to LSU and close enough to other things to do: AirBnB

The above is assuming y’all wanted to stay together. If y’all are planning on getting multiple houses then it looks like AirBnB has 3 or 4 in Southdowns that are only like $1200 for a week. That would be a great location for y’all as well.

My friend owns this one. It’s pretty nice. Sleeps 8. It’s on Government St near the old Fleur de Lis pizza

OP this is actually a good location and is close to a lot of restaurants and things on Government street as well. It’s only about 10 min from LSU.

Rocca has some ridiculous garlic knots with a whipped provolone cheese on the side. Good stuff.

Southdowns, Capital Heights, Garden District, down Highland between Standford and Kenilworth is good.
