Never been to either. Which one would you pick?

The bird hunting appears to be similar in both countries so that is a wash. Other factors to consider? Plan is to go in August.

Thanks!

ETA : Picked Scotland. Going to fly into Glasgow and then drive cross country to my hunting location. Will be hunting decoyed wood pigeons.

I’m sure you’ve looked into this, but the police in Ireland don’t even carry guns. Are you allowed to travel in with them?

Hunting birdies in either is better done with golf clubs.

There are too many other more convenient places in the World to hunt with a firestick or bow than to try to do it in the UK or Ireland.

I have no idea honestly, but I believe there are large estates that cater to hunters. I'm sure they have everything figured out, and I'm assuming something like that is what the OP is looking for?

I would choose Scotland because Scotch is good.

Understood.

Consider that Irish Whiskey is also good.

Bushmills is a nice place to visit in County Antrim, Northern Ireland…

Thanks everyone. Both countries offer hunting options and I would be with a guide. When I hunt internationally I always rent a gun that is in country to avoid complexity.

The bird hunting in Europe seems canned. Scotland.

My brother loved Ireland, but told me Scotland is even better.
