IF you are talking about Charleston, SC and want to spend money stay on King Street, Francis Marion is cool (really old hotel, but great location). The Holiday Inn at Marion Square is cool too, it actually used to be The Citadel before it moved to its current location.
If you are on a a budget, check out the round Holiday Inn across the Ashley River, any of the hotels on Lockwood, or Mount Pleasant.

At this point just come back to this thread and say " I said Charlestown and I meant Charlestown. If I I had meant Charleston I would have said Charleston you dumb asses. No matter that you really meant Charleston nobody will know anyway.

You misread. His post was an instruction to the OP as to what the OP should do. "Come back", not "Came back"

I did indeed, I also drove to Charlestown instead of Charleston this morning for work. I should have figured out something was wrong after the first couple hours of my normally 30 minute drive, but the GPS said to keep going, so I did.

Belmond Charleston Place is the best if staying downtown. If you are poor there are some ok placed in Mnt Pleasant.
