I cringe just to think about it, but the Margaritaville resort in the area has a huge arse arcade room that I bet the kids would find something fun to do.

I usually eat at Charred. I hear the doughnut place is good, although I don't eat them. If sushi is your thing, chef scotts is the best. We usually let the kids run wild at Margaritaville but I am sure that is closed ATM.

The Ship Island excursion will take about 5 hours time if you want to spend a few hours on the beach. Bring plenty of sunscreen because there is very little shelter on the island and you can't leave until the ferry returns. It's about an hour ride each way. I think you can rent an umbrella on the island.

Fort Massachusetts was a civil war fort built for coastal defense on the island. There are tours given but I would check to see if they are still scheduled due to Covid. There are websites with all that info.

Margaritaville Resort in Biloxi is open, but their facilities including the arcade and water park/pool area are only open to guests at the resort.

(as it should be)...

There are sometimes water bacteria advisories in the areas around you, and it looks like this is the case for some areas west of where you will be staying. No warnings though.

Just make sure your kiddos don't have any open cuts and such. That water can get nasty at times.

Is that the difference between just a little poo and a lot of poo?

About medium poo. With only a little bit of corn.

Take the ferry to Ship Island from Biloxi. You can watch dolphins breach along the way.

This place doesn’t get talked about enough. My wife and I went a few years ago and loved it

Do you know anyone in the area? The Barriers Island beaches are pristine, but you need a boat to get to them.

OS is nice, downtown is always hoping on weekends.

Ya, if you're boating from OS you're heading to Horn Island.

If I recall right, Katrina created a natural kiddie pool on Horn which is cool.

I bet gators like that "kiddie pool".

Horn and Cat Islands both have gators. Not a bunch but there are some on each.

I don't know much about gator preferences, but its all sand and wide open space exposed to the sun. It also is maybe a foot deep

It has been a few years since I've been out there though.

Ocean Springs is a nice spot. Hit Glory Bound for Gyros and a bunch of good beers, Murky Waters for BBQ, Cheff Scott's for sushi, French Kiss Pastries for desert; have to disagree with the rec for McElroy's as we've given it a few tries over the years and it's been pretty bad each time.

On Ship Island, the excursion trip is absolutely worth it if you have the time. I'm a bit biased, having grown up going out there, but it's a really cool place.
