Missoula, MT for Thanksgiving

I would suggest giving more information in regards to your plans, expectations, etc. for the trip? I don't know Missoula well or really at all, but generally speaking people from the south don't realize how cold it gets there and how short their summer is. You never really know, but it could have a foot of snow and be well below freezing the entire week. It could be pretty nice weather. Generally speaking there's not much tourism in Wyoming and Montana during November due to it being between fall and snow season.

Given that, as long as you don't expect to go hiking every daily in shorts and you are flexible with weather and enjoying a different part of the country there's always plenty to do out that way for a week.

ETA; look into and understand that a lot of "tourist" based stuff shuts down in Montana and Wyoming in November until the snow comes. A lot of stuff will close in October and sometimes early October through early December. When I say close, I mean close. Like no hours and not answering the phone. Like I said just look into everything. I'm not trying to recommend not going at all, I'm just trying to help understand what happens.

Missoula is a very cool town. We stayed at the Residence Inn downtown and it was very nice. The Camino restaurant is good, it's a Mexican spot. The Rhino is a divey bar with a solid whiskey list. There are a few different breweries in town that are decent. In town there is a little switchback hike that you can take up to the "M", which gives a nice view of the city. For part of our trip we rented a house on Georgetown Lake, which was awesome. Great views of the mountain range over the lake in the morning. Phillipsburg is a quaint little town with a couple breweries that was fun to hang out in for a few hours.

There are hikes all around the area, Lake Como, Flathead Lake, etc...

ETA: you're also only about 2.5 hours away from Whitefish and like 15 minutes further to Glacier National Park.

There's much more to do in Bozeman

At the end of November Glacier will be virtually shut down. I don't think you can go more than a handful of miles into the park from either side during the winter.

Also, that might not be the best drive that time of year.

Brasserie Port Rouge is a great restaurant, with a New Orleans chef who knows what he is doing. I liked Notorious P.I.G. for a bbq lunch. Ate there twice. Lots of breweries. My favorite was Imagine Nation.
