Looking for a place to stay for a weekend, golf carts allowed

We just got a new gas golf cart. We’re already planning to go somewhere for a long weekend mid October. Are there any places within 3-4 hours of Mandeville area that allow golf carts and is laid back?

Grand Isle allows carts on the beach, and October will be pretty slow down there, probably our favorite time to go. Bad news is you have to have a permit for it($150 for 2026, $75 if you're over 65 or military), however they're rarely out patrolling and with it being slow, odds are no one would ever notice.

Yeah, most places, especially vacation destinations, that allow golf carts also have plenty of places to rent them. You can get them here in Charleston for $120-$150 per night.

That is not my idea of a vacation dragging a trailer to my destination…..
