Thinking about going to Little Rock for a couple of nights in September and taking in two Travelers AA baseball games. The stadium is just across the river from the downtown area where we plan to stay.

Any experience going to Travelers games? Can we depend on Uber/Lyft to go to and from? Have a car but prefer to drink and ride.

White Water Tavern is another possibility. Dive bar with live music. Any recent experiences?

You can take the free streetcar.

They weren’t at home when I was there this year, but there’s a hotel right across the street from the park. It was an OK hotel, but you could walk to the game.

Little Rock had cool breweries. My two favorites were: Diamond Bear and Lost Forty.

Thanks. If I'm reading their schedule right, it looks like streetcar service ends about 7 pm on M-Thur, but goes to midnight on F-Sat.

I am in LIT once or twice a month and the DoubleTree I stay at overlooks the stadium. I think the Marriot as well. The Capitol hotel is in the area too.

There are quite a few good restaurants in the immediate area.

You can walk across one of several bridges to get there. Before and after game time will be fine and safe and there will be plenty of people around.

Thanks. I saw it was a short distance, but I wasn't sure if the bridges were walkable/safe.

Some routes look good on a map, but they are not always pedestrian friendly once you get there.

Same here the times I’ve been. Running along the river and over the bridges was a cool experience.

Absolutely safe to walk. They also have Lime scooters to travel with.

That's where we stayed, and it was perfect. Doubletree is at one foot of the Hwy 70 bridge, and the ballpark is at the other foot in North Little Rock. The bridge has a wide, well-lighted, traffic-protected walkway that made it easy to walk over.

The stadium is nice. All chairbacks, no bad seats, and decent selection of reasonably priced food and beer.

Someone suggested the streetcar. It's a good, free way to see the downtown LR and NLR areas in about 45 minutes, but it crosses the river at a different bridge. It will get you close, but it is probably not the best way to get to the game.

Downtown LR has some nice restaurant choices, but I'll look into NLR more next visit. Their Argenta downtown district has several nice looking restaurants, a taproom, comedy club, etc.

They are working on the I-30 bridge over the Arkansas River. When finished, there will be two 6-lane bridges. Meanwhile, Shreveport has a cattle chute for its I-20 bridge over Red River.
