Plan on heading up to Lexington for the LSU game in early October.
Can I get some suggestions on best location to stay in Lexington? Also any recommendations on the bourbon trail and horse farms/tracks would be helpful. TIA

Keeneland should have their Fall meet going on in early October. As far as accommodations, if you’re doing the Bourbon tour, I’d recommend staying around Versailles, about 15/20 min west of Lexington. Rose Hill Inn looks really nice. You’ll also be near the Bluegrass Parkway, if you want to check out Bardstown.

I went 4 years ago when LSU played there, we stayed at the Hilton in Lexington. There were shuttles to the game.
Make your reservations on the Bourbon Trail now, they will sell out.
Best SEC road trip I've been on. Also for airline ticket prices and rental cars it was much cheaper to go through Cincinnati than Louisville.

Keeneland is a must. The only three Bourbon Trail stops I’ve done in the Lexington area are Woodford Reserve, Castle & Key, and Wild Turkey. I highly recommend the tours at all three. Be sure to book early.

Did this trip back in 2021…flew into Louisville Wednesday, Bourbon trail Thursday, Keeneland fall opening day Friday and the game Saturday.
Lexington Marriott City Center is a great spot to stay if available. As mentioned, book distillery tours now…if you want a ride to a few different ones, Mint Julep Tours did a great job for us. Actually took us to the same 3 spots as Snoop (Turkey, Woodford & Castle & Key) but I can also recommend Makers, Buffalo Trace & Heaven Hill.
It’s a great trip…y’all will have a blast
