Thats Houston! Every time we travel, my family comments about why do other cities have such nice airports and we have IAH.
We have a 5 hr coming up in Miami on Saturday.

My worst - eight at Heathrow.
Had one of those too. It was great. Took a taxi to Windsor Castle, toured the castle, had lunch in Windsor and got back to Heathrow with plenty of time left to get through security and get to our gate.
The desk kept telling us they would get us on an earlier flight. Never happened so we spent the entire eight hours in the Business Class club.

Yeah, for connections Denver is nice. ORD though, I've had multiple layovers from hell.

Denver is a great airport to be stuck at. United club bathrooms are the best there and all outside seating

I tend to aim for longer rather than shorter layovers. Five hours is a bit on the high end. At Denver I can hang at William and Graham in Concourse A.
Unpopular take. I’m not a fan of the domestic airline lounges in U.S. airports. I guess it’s free, but mostly crap. The crowd in them mostly feels like people who chase down stuff because it’s cheap.

Flight from MAN (manchester, england) was delayed taking off, missed connection from newark to new orleans and had to sleep in airport (14 hours) overnight….united gave me a f&$king airplane pillow and toothbrush and said good luck…no hotel, no vouchers. ended up talking to bartender til closing time and he let me stay in closed lounge area and slept in lounge til cleaners showed up at 6am. Newark is the worst

Flight from MAN
Singapore Airlines used to have a fifth freedom flight from IAH to MAN until 2024 I think. EWR sucks.

Just did 28 hours to Montevideo Uruguay and 19 coming home.
Slept on a bench in Lima Peru airport for 7 hours.
It was (not) magical.
