I'm also following this thread. Will be heading to Key West with my wife and another couple in July. Staying at a VRBO in Old Town.

We have a fishing trip and scuba diving already booked, but looking at other stuff and dining.

We just left, I was the OP, tried many of the places suggested and all were great. Olde Town Mexican was a great spot as well. Bring a fat wallet to KW Fat fat.

My wife and her cousin are planning some happy hour rype places. They're all abou6 day/evening drinking.

Hopefully it's not Switzerland level expensive.

Louie’s was great as well, Nine One Five was really good as well, Onlywood Pizza also very good, La Grignote on Duval had a great breakfast and excellent pastries, and Kermit’s Key Lime Pies were the best

Lagerheads beach bar. At the end of Duval. Just a little place, but toes in the sand and great views.

It is a cool little bar, I put my toes in the sand there every time we go. It is actually on Simonton, which runs parallel to Duval. Simonton dead ends into the ocean on both ends. A little dive karaoke bar called Bobby's is on Simonton, as well as the Tipsy Rooster.

Flying to KW this Saturday 4/25. Have Dry Tortugas, Sunset Sail & another Snorkeling trip planned. Renting bikes to get around. Any recommendations are welcomed.

Mangia Mangia was fantastic (Italian with seafood options). Had time allowed, I would have returned for a dinner a second night.
We enjoyed Blue Heaven, the scallop app was quite good.
The outside bar at Louie's backyard is a great day drinking spot. Schooner's Pub is a good lunch with live music. We did a bike tour and it was a lot of fun. Best music we heard seemed to be at Harry Ts.
Five brothers Grocery Cuban sandwich was mediocre.
Enjoy yourself.

Biking way better than scooter, but be careful with the traffic safety, and bikes are like the only thing that gets stolen down there.
My favorite day time bar on the weekends is the Tree Bar at Ricks. Joanne the bartender from Philly is hilarious. I go to Blue Heaven a lot during the day for daytime drinks at the outside bar and for dinner. Banana Cafe is my go to breakfast. I like Pepe’s for lunch and I usually hit the bait shop across the street for a few. Cliff Cody is my favorite local musician originally from Odessa he plays Hanks and Hogs Breath A lot. I also like Tony Baltimore who also plays hanks, green parrot, and schooner quote a bit. Happy hour for me is usually conch farm or Martins. Very different. You’ll meet way more people at Conch Farm but Martins has a good vibe.
