You may be able to get out, very likely that Southwest/Delta won't want their planes anywhere near florida if this storm stays on the current track

Looks like it would be right on top of Orlando/Tampa on Monday morning if it took that track.

You on Southwest or Delta? Last flight MCO-MSY on Sunday night is at 6:45pm, could you make that?

I don't really care too much if I get stuck. I have a 3 day work week before I leave for Wisconsin anyways. It might end up being an extended vacation.

Almost every ATL-MCO flight is an a321 right now

Oh well. At least it's a brand new plane for my Friday flight.

It's a 757 on Monday so I caught a Boeing.

American's been having some teething issues with their new A321's, hopefully Delta's doing better. Anything is better than those A319s

Give me an MD90 or 717 any day. Those are quality planes.

My layover is in Orlando, Florida of all places. Not only do we go out of our was to the east and the south, now we have to monitor a p a hurricane.

Only good news with that is you may be able to get on a nonstop up north instead of dealing with the storm. Just keep an eye on southwest waivers and the storm system

So I just found out that I need to fly out of MSY Monday evening to Tampa. And return home from Tampa to MSY either Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning...what are the chances of this happening??

No complaints with the a321. It was a brand spanking new plane. It was smooth and very quiet.

I still don't like Airbus though.

Here's the noon update below.

What this says is around noon monday it will likely be in the gulf to the south or southwest of tampa (72 hr). At the 96 hr, it is awfully close to tampa (Tuesday at noon) so I'd say your chances of getting there are decent, getting back not good as of now

Glad for your sake this thing is taking its sweet time moving into the gulf. Unfortunately, it's making later this week look a little worse for everyone going to the game

Good for tomorrow, right now the storm is still moving west. Forecasts for wednesday morning are ok as of current. Tuesday night is safer, not sure how much itd cost you to change though

ETA: You should be good wednesday morning as well Mark with the recent update. Updated the image in the original post

We are supposed to be leaving Wednesday for Chicago/Green Bay but this storm may change that. We live one mile inland in Miss. and I'm not leaving until I know for sure we will not be affected.
