Which cards are the best for France and Spain? Have an Amex but Chase Saphire reserve is the best? What does the TB say? TIA

This. And if the clearly asks you if you want to pay in us dollars, decline. Pay in euro and your CC company will give you the best conversion rate. If you pay in dollars, the merchant/processor is doing the conversion and giving you a shitty rate.

Ive never been a fax of Amex and rotate through Cap 1 venture and Chase Sapphire depending on where I am going and the travel partners that work best with each trip.

Lots of options, but Chase has some good ones.

100%. Most people don't realize it, but it adds up for sure.

Cannot emphasize enough. Decline, decline, decline. Pay in local currency.
