Irma is killing me, 8 days and I don't know if I am going on vacation or not.

We're in the sit and wait period for you currently. Not much more we can do

Glad you were able to change it. Persistence pays off in these situations

This sucks, it is pretty clear flying in/out of Atlanta next Wednesday ain't going to happen, wish Delta would issue waivers already.

Storm will be well past ATL on Wednesday. You may still get a waiver, though.

Atlanta hasn't been added yet to the waivers but I'm keeping an eye on it. Also cool, Delta is flying a 747 from Detroit-Orlando and Orlando-Detroit to help get stranded passengers out today. About to takeoff, if anyone is interested in aviation and lives near MCO this is your chance to get some cool pics Flightaware link

Looks like I might actually get to go on vacation and Miami will be spared a direct hit, but they will also be in the worst quadrant of the storm. How far west it drifts is the key.

The lulz in this is that earlier this week that 747 made its "final" domestic flight from LAX-DTW. Whoops.

Further west it goes may be worse for miami, but all we can do is wait and see.

Actually have a question for you. How long does it normally take for DL to add the waivers to the app? Usually I get an email saying "Your flights may be affected". I'm trying to change my MSY-ATL 9/15 and ATL-MSY9/17 to BTR-ATL-BTR same dates with this waiver. The app normally allows these things once the waiver is in place

Never tried. I've always called the medallion line and had them make changes. Mainly because they have more freedom.

Cuse I am counting on you man when you start finding things out about MIA.

It looks like the storm is already past miami, just some remaining lighter bands that might hit the area over the next day. By saturday american should be at full operations again
