Surprising the wife with a trip to Oxford to catch LSU v OM baseball and the Morgan Wallen concert. Hotel availability seems few and far between. Airbnb prices are absurd. Any recommendations?

The Graduate is a good hotel downtown. Might be full, though, as it's pretty popular.

If I didn’t have a friend coming into town for the concert that weekend, I would’ve probably rented my condo out

Maybe look into those Batesville hotels near I-55 having some availability, as Oxford is likely booked up . Downside is it’s a 20 minute drive .

Oxford will be a zoo that weekend , not really looking forward to that

I lucked out with booking an Airbnb before the Morgan Wallen concert was announced. If there are any hotels available in Batesville, that’s your best bet.

The Shack Up Inn in Clarksdale is a good alternative.

For that weekend, you’re going to struggle big time to find anything in Oxford, and any vacancy will be expensive as hell. Batesville may be tough too. I’ve never seen a group of people as excited as every white girl in a 100 mile radius of Oxford was when they announced the Morgan Wallen concert.

Don’t know how you feel about driving day of, but you may can get in at The Alluvian in Greenwood. High end hotel with a great restaurant, a little bar area, and lots of good shopping downtown. May can keep it chill Friday afternoon with shopping and dinner, then drive up to Oxford Saturday. Will make for a late night driving back though… It’s right at 1.5 hrs to Oxford from Greenwood.

Not sure of your logistics of the weekend but you may be better off driving up Sunday and going to the game , finding a room for Sunday night , then heading to the show.

The Sunday show has a bunch of tickets available and maybe hotels will be not quite as full for Sunday night.

Just a thought

If anything is available consider yourself extremely fortunate and book it and pay the premium.

Try Tupelo if you haven’t looked. Not much further than that Batesville and a MUCH better place to stay.

Morgan and LSU fans in Oxford on the same weekend? Will Oxford ever recover from that?
