I second Hampton Social - very cool place and good brunch.

I haven't personally, but did have a co-worker go there with her husband. They liked it so much they went twice.

Damn, would love to see that. We just got back from a wedding in Nashville and don’t feel like going back so quick.

We are going in May. What about the Stillery? I know it is off the main area but have heard good things about it.
And what about the RCA studio tour?
TIA

For anyone that’s going to Nashville and looking to do something to break up the bar scene, I usually point them to PINS Mechanical. Tons of lawn games, duck pin bowling, etc…
There’s a full service bar as well with good drinks. Fun atmosphere where you’re not just sitting around.

Thanks for sharing that. Hadn't heard of it.

We've been to Pinewood Social a few times, which looks like it's a similar theme.

Both have come a long way from the Varsity and tent parties at Fred’s!

It is and I’ve been to Pinewood multiple times. I much prefer PINS.

Also, LSU men’s basketball is playing at Vandy on Saturday March 2. We might go for the first half or so.

Damn! If it was the morning slot, then I'd be there, but our 5:00 dinner plans would be tough with a 2:30 tip-off, especially with the wife having to get ready beforehand. Thanks for the idea though!

I second Robert’s.

Local chef mega super star Sean Brock has a plethora of concepts around town that’s are all mostly mediocre but recently changed his downtown concept to a record listening lounge. Everyone I know that’s gone has had a great time. Could be fun to hit up before a show it’s inside the grand Hyatt downtown.

Skulls rainbow room is fun and so it the boogie bar next door. Printers alley is an underrated fun bar scene not on broadway.

Bastion bar is awesome in wedgewood houston area. There’s tons of great more local bars in east nashville.

We love Sixty Vines in Nashville. I've been to locations in other cities and the Nashville one has a great vibe. You'd hardly realize that the Broadway craziness was just steps away.

Also if you want to listen to music in smaller venues, there are several.

The Listening Room
3rd and Lindsley
Commodore Grill (at the Vanderbilt Holiday Inn)
Bluebird Cafe (generally requires reservations and is a bit hard to get in.)

Thanks!

Here's what we have so far...

Staying at The Joseph.

Friday Dinner: Bourbon Steak
Friday After Dinner: Skull's Rainbow

Saturday Lunch: Open
Saturday Pre Show: Little Fib (but could be talked into Sixty Vines if it's much better)
Saturday Night: Randy Rogers & Friends

Sunday Brunch: Hampton Social

We may have a handful of hours to kill Saturday after breakfast and until around 3:30 when the wife will want to start getting ready for the events that night.

Forgot to mention we really like Acme Feed and Seed. On Broadway/2nd. An old hardware/feed store. Has several nice dining or drink options and a rooftop bar.

I figured I’d throw out our ideas too in case we should pivot

Staying at Thompson Hyatt in the Gulch, and seeing a ton of spots we want to try around there

—5pm Friday bar seats at Husk (multiple snacks seem better option than entrees here)
—RRB/ Wade show at Ryman
—Pins Mechanical or other late night spot

Saturday:
—Biscuit Love or Five Daughters in Gulch area
—Shotgun Willies for lunch (debating whether or not to ride out there)
—Bearded Iris/Nashville brew bus tour in the afternoon
—Will try to be first in the door at Noko, then Rosepepper & Iberian Pig for small stuff
—Hopefully Gertie’s Whiskey bar for a nightcap

(Sunday we’ll hit what we missed before that, but open to brunch/lunch near the airport)

If any of these are sure hits or misses, please feel free to weigh in

The itineraries here all look good to me! Can't do it all.

Consider some "outdoorsie" stuff too. All of the below are within 3-8 miles from downtown.

Walk around the Vanderbilt campus. Then you could cross the street to visit Centennial Park and the Parthenon.

Radnor Lake is a gorgeous park for hiking and walking around.

Check out nearby Ft. Negley if you're into Civil War history.

Totally agree. It's right in the city and you'd never even know it.

My daughter (no pics), who lives in Nashville, likes Acme Feed as well. Someone mentioned it earlier. She also likes the rooftop at LA Jackson in the Gulch. Diskin Cider is another place they go.

They do like Biscuit Love, but it might be very busy.
