Any particular hotels you would recommend?

Any particular awesome restaurants or breweries?

Five daughters donuts!

Others may tell you of "better" places, but they are just wrong

Steam boys is great spot for dumplings and steamed buns.

Hattie B's is my favorite of the famous hot chicken spots.

Two-Ten Jack is a great ramen house.

Jackalope is a good brewery
Yee-haw is a fun spot too.

(I have no idea what is open or not during covid)

If you like those escape room places, The Escape Game gold rush room is one of the best in the country.

As others have said Hattie Bs but I go to the one off Charlotte Parkway for no waiting

I would try to stay at Hilton Downtown or Omni for best location to everything

We usually stay at The Omni or The Hutton, whichever one we can get a better rate at. Omni is closer to the trash on Broadway, if that's your thing. Hutton is right next to Vandy's campus, a short Uber to the trash on Broadway.

But I just checked and The Hutton has gone way up in rates. Around $250 a night. We used to pay around $160 but this was 4 or 5 years ago the last time we stayed there.

Stay around Broadway. I like Printers Alley better for music. The food scene in Nashville isn't my favorite. Would rather eat in NOLA or Savanah.

We prefer to stay at an Airbnb when we go. We tend to stay in the gulch area and just uber everywhere. The first time we went we got a car and drove straight downtown to hang out before our check in time, when we saw the price of parking we ended up parking the rental at the unit and ubering back to the city. That’s what we did the entire rest of the trip
We don’t rent a car anymore. I don’t know what your into, but the tour of the Ryman is just damn cool. It’s a must to me. One thing we like to do as well is the hick chick walking pub crawl. The best part of that was she’s tight with the talent and the bartenders and when we went back after the tour was over the bartenders remembered us and kept hooking us up even after the crawl. We like pucketts for breakfast. The acme is a cool place to hang out. They have a few different menus and the top floor over looks the river and Nissan stadium. Dierks Bentley’s bar whiskey row on broadway is a cool spot. Coffee at the frothy monkey is a cool place to grab a coffee and pasty or yogurt. We loved burger up for lunch. It’s kinda like a farm to table burger place. Don’t fall for the Martins bbq scam. It’s average at best. Jacks bbq was ok, but the line is sometimes wrapped around the block. And yes TONS of bachelorette parties.

Of course that’s all pre covid. Who the hell knows in 2021.

breweries?

Bearded Iris has good beer. The brewery is a warehouse so atmosphere isn't the greatest.

5th and Taylor is our favorite restaurant downtown (Germantown area). LINK

A "thing" in Nashville is Roof Top Bars. Depends on the weather when you're here of course but some use heaters as well.

I've been to Acme and loved it. George Jones is supposed to be nice as well. Many options.

COVID19 or not. Still much to do here if you want to just get away from it all. Plenty of hiking options like Radnor Lake or the Warner Park System, with many paved trails in case it'd be too muddy.

Tons of historic sites like Ft. Negley.

Franklin is about the coolest downtown area in the country and about 15 miles south of Nashville.

The Country Music Hall of Fame is well worth a visit. Can spend several hours in there. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It'll take you back in time.
