when I was younger I enjoyed going places more. It was easier and less hassle.

I felt bad for many of my friends and relatives who really enjoy travel during the pandemic.
For me, I just played more golf. For them it was true cabin fever.

I’ll go places, but I don’t comb the web hunting for exotic new places to go.

I enjoyed a NYC Christmas in 2019 and trips to Denver and San Antonio as well.

Went to Biltmore in March 2020 for a Downton Abbey exhibit literally the week things started to shutdown. Did a beach trip and a mountain trip during pandemic.

Do as much as you can while your young and healthy. It can get harder as you age.

This.

Mrs Füt (no pics) & I purposefully go to places that are remote and not ADA-ish friendly.

Skellig Michael, hike to the tip of Cabo Blanco, Guanacaste, CR, traipse all over London or Berlin or Vienna, etc.

One day, we’ll have to ride in a vehicle or walk with a cane so we’re doing all we can while we’re ambulatory.

Fortunately, she’s OK with most of what I want to see. I set the itinerary, with some stuff for her in it and some stuff for me in it and then we go do and see the shite together.

I leave some room for serendipity in my itineraries.

I don’t care what our friends think of us as travelers, I don’t say much because I don’t want to be that guy about their travelogue.

this. I encourage my kids to do all the things while they are young.

On the other hand my MIL will not go anywhere. She doesn't like "living out of a suitcase" she says.
