Best time to go! Before the Russians invade.

We'd had some conversations while in Romania about going to Moldova. Historically, it's viewed by Romanians as part of Romania, so there's a political issue there. Supposedly one of the top wine regions in the area. Not much else that I know of.

The place on my radar that I'll never probably get to is Georgia (no, not the State). Looks amazing.

I had a trip planned two years ago and had to cancel. I still really want to go.

You inspired me to look at the flight schedules. It was 42 hours, with layovers, to get to Tbilisi.

Uggh. Where are you flying from? I did a quick search in June and found:

19 hours / 55 minutes.

Update from guy I know from Serbia who works for Viking...

We were informed that the season will start this year, perhaps at the end of July. I will definitely be back on Viking when my boarding is scheduled. Most likely in August.

Coupled with the pics I received from a friend in Malaga Spain right now, Europe, Here We Come!

3 weeks and counting here. Hasn't been easy, but things have finally settled in to the stretch run for departure.

This is making me feel good about my travel plans this year. Bachelor parties and weddings all year that were all jammed into this year. Then in 2022 international travel should be back to normal.

2 years delayed, but looking to finally get to Slovenia for Spring '22. Thought about trying this year, but really don't want a diluted trip.

Turkish Air announced full catering on international flights and I got way too excited about that.

What’s the status on traveling to Europe for Americans? My final destination only requires proof of vaccination, but would it be prudent to get a PCR test anyway? Unfortunately I have two pas through stops in Europe.

It's opening up more and more. Even Switzerland will be allowing vaccinated Americans starting in about 10 days.

I think it is very wise to get a PCR test if you can. Airline staff are de facto border patrol and make mistakes.

They are free at CVS and Walgreens. Do no get the rapid tests there, as the tests they provide are not on the approved EU antigen test list.
