Ours is on July 11.. I know no one here has a crystal ball but figured maybe one of you baws might could offer a little insight. It's through Holland America but booked with Expedia and of course I didn't get the trip protection like an idiot. Not sure if the cruise is cancelled if I'll get anything .. thoughts ?

Edit: I know Canada has closed all it's ports for cruise ships until July 1.(a big problem for Alaskan cruises). Some are holding out hope that this gets lifted before then and I'm just hoping it doesn't get extended.

I called Expedia this morning and the refund is based on the cruise line. She said Holland America will allow for a 125% cruise credit or a full refund if the cruise is cancelled due to Corona virus. So it sounds like I'm covered without the trip insurance.

No. I also think many businesses and services along the cruise ship ports won’t be open for business.

We've booked a Danube River cruise in July. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Our Alaskan cruise leaves out of Vancouver on July 3rd. As of today, we only have a $500 deposit placed, yet final payment of $4K is due April 4th.

Decisions, Decisions!!!!

If you call they will most likely push your final payment.

I’m still holding out faith that I can go on my Croatia catamaran trip at the end of May. I asked for them to push out my final payment to May 1st and they said they would and possibly push further if needed.

I’d say no. I’m waiting on NCL to extend dates on full refund for my mid May Alask Cruise. That industry will be very slow to come back. I know you’ve paid in full so keep watching Cruise Critic news for how the Lines are handling refunds or credits. I personally want me money back

T&P

I’d rather be in a hostel in India.

Glacier Bay just announced they aren't opening their visitor centers till July 1. I would not be surprised if this date moves back.

Holland would probably make me wait until a confirmed cancellation before issuing a full refund right ?

No way you are going on this trip I hate to say, but you shouldn't have to worry about losing your money. If the cruise line is the one that cancels they would have to give you your money back.

Don't think that's necessary in this case.

Like the last guy said. If they cancel they would have to give your money back

People need to understand how a virus works. A majority of the population needs to contract it and get over it or be vaccinated before it stops spreading. This quarantine is simply to slow it down for a couple of weeks until enough people have had it that the spread slows down.

My point is it’s likely going to be 6 months until enough people have it that it won’t be a scare to go on something like a cruise.

Does not cover pandemics and epidemics. Specifically excluded.

I doubt it. Maybe after Labor Day.
