So to all the people who say “they won’t remember, you’re wasting your time!”, well I remember and I have pictures of them overcome with emotion when seeing the characters.

This is the part my parents won't get over and constantly repeat even if no one has a Disney vacation coming up. They just love to shite on Disney.

I just tell them "cool, we weren't inviting you anyway" and "our memories of them at this age is just as important to what they may or may not remember"

Just go in with an open mind, make a list of the things that are really important to you, and if you do a full day you can easily knock out everything you want to do.

This is where I have seen a lot of people get caught "lost at the park" because they failed to plan. OP, measure your kids and cross out what rides they cannot do. Also, you know your kids, and know what they won't do and can cross those off as well. Then start your planning from there.

The most important thing is you need a “park reservation” to even get in the park that day so make sure you confirm you have that before you purchase your ticket. Even if you have a ticket for that date they will not let you in unless you have a park reservation.

As far as planning, watch as many videos online as you can about how to use genie and lightning lane. Then time your arrival for 45 minutes to an hour before park opening so you can get in a get some rides done before it gets crowded.

You can't make a park reservation without an active ticket. You can check to make sure the day(s) you want to go has availability in the park you want to reserve at but you have to wait to book the reservation until after you buy your ticket.

If you only have one day, You should get the vip package. You will be able see every park with no lines for any ride if you desire.

They will love it. Not sure what month you are going but crowds make or break a Disney day. Buy tickets through Disney app and be prepared to pay for Genie + for your group. Get there at park opening or before if you can swing it. Earlier the better to beat the crowds. The 6 year old can ride everything there. The 3 year old can ride everything but the roller coasters unless they are taller. 38” gets you I. The 7 dwarves mine train which is a great intro to roller coasters for kids. Barnstormer too. They’ll love all the other rides that are both nostalgic and relevant based on movies. Little mermaid, Pirates of Caribbean, Dumbo, Buzz Lightyear, Jungle Cruise … Peter Pan if you can get in.

3 longest lines there are Mine Train, Peter Pan and Jungle Cruise.

Contemporary is in walking distance from magic kingdom. They have a restaurant with a character breakfast - mickey and his pals. Easy way to knock out pics with characters.
