Conchal or Longosta Costa Rica

Headed to Costa Rica with wife and kids in February. Have reservations staying near Arenal for the first couple of nights then planning to drive to the coast. Looking for input on Playa Conchal vs Longosta. Would like to be close to (or on beach) with restaurants and stuff to do. They both look good, was looking for first hand knowledge.

Manuel Antonio - Looks cool, but is a long way from the Liberia Airport.

I prefer Conchal over being too close to Tamarindo. More action near Tamarindo, but some dirtiness comes with that.

Is there something wrong with Papagayo where it being 30 minutes from Liberia doesn't appeal to you?

Nothing wrong with Papagayo, havent been there. Any suggestions on specific areas to stay?
