I am looking for a good trip after Christmas holiday. We are not looking to do a bunch of stuff. We are looking for a beautiful place to rest and recharge the batteries. I was thinking Colonial Willamsburg, how are things there during the holiday season?

Great place to spend a couple days. Very interesting / educational and it is a fun place to visit. During the holidays it's gorgous.

If can be tough finding stuff to do though after a couple days, so I would try to limit it to 3 days unless you want to do something like Bush gardens as well.

Colonial Williamsburg during the holidays is quite well done and I would recommend it. In all actuality it might be a little quiet in Williamsburg, as the college students should be out of town. If you make Williamsburg your home base you can easily get to Jamestown, Petersburg, and Richmond within an hour or so of driving. There are a couple of wineries close by.

Echo the others. Quality decision.

Jamestown was my favorite of the 3. There’s a really good brewery called precarious steps away from colonial Williamsburg and there’s a decent meadery right there too.

Go to Jamestown, Yorktown; and I would highly recommend Monticello, Jefferson's home on the Potomac. Virginia is a beautiful state packed with history.

Good time to go. One of the 2 hotels in Colonial Williamsburg has a good Spa with all of the normal Spa amenities. A great place to charge the batteries.

Oh yeah, and the Golden Horseshoe golf course looks real nice. I ate at their clubhouse one time when I went there for a conference; it was a nice, peaceful view and the prices were quite reasonable.
