Cheap Airfare to Punta Cana - $249 nonstop from NOLA

Moved from the OT - There used to be a regular post on here about cheap airfare. I haven't seen it in awhile but just saw pricing on flights from New Orleans to Punta Cana nonstop for $249 per person roundtrip 8/5-8/11. I've never seen it that low before so thought it was worth posting for people looking for a last minute trip. It's a charter my travel agent quoted.

Pretty sure his name was CuseTiger or something like that. I don't feel like looking it up, but he does post similiar deals and answers questions on the travel board.

I know American does it seasonally
Also check out Southwest airlines as I remember seeing it on the route map going out of MSY before

There is a travel company who runs some cheesy arse deals with direct flights to DR and Mexico during the summer. They might be the ones offering just a flight as well.

It's a charter but on a full 737 (just like Southwest) and I know some people that have taken this flight from Houston and New Orleans to Punta Cana and Cancun with no issues.
