I don't think you can pick a best when comparing the upper end hotels, its personal preference at that point.
Why vegas for honeymoon?

Bachelor party in Vegas
Honeymoon somewhere else
I like Caesar's because it puts you in the middle of everything.

I liked Aria. But I agree with others...Vegas for a honeymoon?

Cosmopolitan is perfect for a honeymoon. I normally stay there or at Aria, but I prefer Cosmo slightly. Best location on the strip IMO is the Boulevard Tower which is near the front. Get a balcony suite overlooking the fountains and enjoy.

Caesar's is in the middle of the strip. Aria, cosmo, Wynn, and Palazzo/Bellagio are all nice. You really can't go wrong at all of the upper end casinos.

Having been to Vegas 5 times for numerous different reasons, I would absolutely not go there for a honeymoon. Why are you wanting Vegas?

Do not listen to the other suggestions. If your honeymoon is in Vegas, stay at Encore. It's the most upscale, clean, romantic (as a vegas hotel can be), etc. The spa in incredible as is the pool and restaurants. Whatever you do, do not stay at Caesars or Cosmo for your honeymoon. Caesars is far too touristy and always packed with people at the forum shops. Cosmo is newer but filled with a younger crowd and not nearly as nice as Encore/Wynn/Aria.
To recap, get a tower king suite at Encore for around $300-$350 a night. Not the Wynn, Encore. Ignore everyone else.

There are plenty. Cosmopolitan is the nicest room I've had with a wraparound balcony overlooking Bellagio fountains. Pretty awesome view and all free with Marriott points. Palazzo was very nice too and an overall great property. Encore is great too. Decide what you want first. Nice pool? Casino? Nightlife? Spa? Restaurants on site?

Also, I agree with Vegas for bachelor party but not honeymoon.

Agreed with above. Delano at Mandalay Bay is all suite. Very affordable.

My wife and I do Vegas annually. It's a great time. Great shows. Great food. Great spas. Gambling. Drinking. Pools. Day trips all around. Honeymoon will be good.
Go see Le Reve. Get front row seats and it'll be awesome.

Can some of you guys really not see how going to a place with awesome pools and spas, amazing hotels, the best restaurants in the world, some of the best shopping, and really good shows could be appealing for someone to go on a honeymoon?

I went on my honeymoon to vegas 12 years ago
We had a great time. We have never been beach people and vegas was gonna cost us less anyway.

You might want to give Mandalay Bay a shot!!!!

Aria has been my favorite. Cosmo is nice as well. Stayed at Bellagio twice. All good locations. A co worker of mine goes 4 to 5 times a year. He swears by Encore and Wynn.

It is extremely subjective. While I agree with a lot of responses, as an example, Encore, I think you should first start by answering this question:
What do we want to do when we get there?
If the answer is we'd like to walk around and watch the action, then Encore isn't your choice. If the answer is we want high end and quiet, then Encore is one potential the answer.
Do you want to see shows? If so, which shows? Overpriced Cirque shows which aren't that good (and frankly, after you've seen one, there is no need to see any others), or really good quality, but lesser known shows? Of which there are many, superior in quality to a Cirque show, and lower priced.
Where do you want to eat? Do you want to get overpriced marginal food at Wolfgang Puck or Emeril? Do you want an old Vegas experience? It's not that hard to spend hundreds for dinner. It's also not that hard to cut that expense by 30-40% for the same dinner.
Do you gamble? Are you expecting comps? If so, what do you play, for how long, and what is the average size of your bet?
Are you going midweek, or weekend? Are you going during an event, or an off week. If so, there is no need to pay advertised rates.
Are you renting a car? I'd suggest it against the majority of advice saying no. They are cheap in LV, and this opens up a tin of other stuff to do.
The options are limitless. As are the answers based on other's personal preference. As are my answers, which would be largely based on what I prefer. This said, some years I go as often as once monthly, and I've always rented a car, so the places I've been, and the shows, restaurants, etc I've experienced are also a fairly large number. All the way from having a suite (mid week, no events) at Hard Rock that had its own pool and a bowling alley, to slumming it, and getting treated like a high roller downtown.
But before anyone can really lend advice that is helpful, you'd need to answer some questions first.
