Atlanta or Tampa?

If you had the choice between the two, where would you live?
I'm 28 and single. West Palm Beach is also an option but I don't think I want to spend that kind of money. If the cost of living is anywhere near what it costs in South Beach (lived there before) it'll be too expensive. Looking to pay $1100 rent max.
I'm leaning towards Tampa though ATL would be nice because it's 8hrs from where I live now versus 14hrs to Tampa. And I'm a Braves fan lol.

Tampa.
Lived there for two years, wife and I loved it. Just make sure you live in South Tampa or else I'd imagine it would be miserable. You can probably find a 1BR for around $1100 in a good area of south tampa.

I lived in Tampa back in 1992-1993. I've been living in Atlanta since 2011. Tampa/St.Pete/Clearwater is so beautiful , it's one of my go to vacation destination. If I can find a comparable job there I'd move in a heartbeat.

Why the hell is this even a discussion?
Tampa by a mile
Atlanta would be very low on my list

Thanks for the advice everyone... I pretty much figured this would be the overwhelming response.

My wife and I both somewhat regret moving back to Louisiana and will probably at some point end up back there. You really will enjoy Tampa but seriously for someone our age you will want to make sure you live south of Kennedy and north of Gandy.

Tampa, Atlanta is fun and all but Tampa has more options

Do you like the ocean? If so, Tampa. If not, Atlanta.

WPB is not near the cost of living as Miami Beach. But go with Tampa. If you're black, go with ATL.

Atlanta is increasingly a great place to live, but it's not a terribly interesting place to live.
I hate Floridians, although Tampa is probably one of the few places I'd consider living. I imagine Tampa is a more rewarding place to live in many ways, although Atlanta will have "more" of most things.

Tampa. I hate even just driving through Atlanta

285 and 400 make Atlanta intolerable

Is living in the actual city important to you? Because you'll spend more than $1100 a month on a 1BR in a decent area of Atlanta proper.
