Flying back to US from Heathrow in May. Is it worth ordering a telemedicine at home test to take in hotel room or find a rapid test? It has to be within one day of flight now. What a hassle

I did one in canada last fall. Very easy. we were far in the bush on a hunting trip and there was no place to get tested. The outfitter provided these tests and there was wifi at the main lodge to make the call to get it verified. Results sent to your email in about 15 minutes.

Yeah the at home test with video option is by far the best option. Can be done in a few minutes and gets rid of the anxiety of finding a test.

The only reason I wouldn’t do it is if I was going to a resort that provides them on site.

In Dublin we found a testing site near our hotel when we booked the trip. Day before our flight, we walked over and took less than 5 minutes for testing and results were emailed 30 minutes later. Super easy.

We did eMed for a trip home from Italy.

The tests were pricy but we were in Cinque Terre before flying home and had no other good testing option and it was super easy. If we had been in a big city, I likely would have just got a rapid test at a random pharmacy and is would be significantly cheaper.

I fly to Heathrow on Saturday and back the following Saturday.

I have an ihealthlabs test with me, and already have my telehealth appt booked that Friday night. Easy and straight forward.

The easiest thing to do is to take one of those at home Abbott tests before you leave.

Once you get a negative test result, save the paperwork to PDF and change the dates on your computer to reflect whatever you need.

My wife and I have been doing that for over a year. Worked out great multiple times.

We used this method to re-enter the states from France last week. It’s way easier than the alternative. Imagine your wife getting a false positive and you clear. What do you do?

Wife and I will be headed to Paris in a couple weeks. We've just scheduled our tele-health appointments as well. So glad I read this thread, we were worried on how to get this done to come home.

When flying back to US who is looking at the test results? My understanding is it’s just a gate agent or other airline employee on the europe side. Is that correct?
