Anywhere in the USA for a long weekend

If you could go anywhere in the United States for a long weekend, where would you go?
Only catch is that it has to be in July or August.

Maine is a good one. I would add Glacier National Park (though a week would be better) or Michigan.

We went to Maine last August but stayed a week. A long weekend is not a lot of time unless you stay in, or near, the place you fly to. Assume you are flying.
I would go to San Diego.
Or, Vancouver, BC, it’s not in the US but it is close.

In July or August, I would either go to Chicago or Seattle.

Coastal Maine or Cape Cod. Aspen is another great choice for that time of year.

Need a week in Yellowstone at least. A 3 day weekend I would feel so rushed.
