Anyone Uber from Baton Rouge to the New Orleans airport and back?

Exploring alternatives to paying for parking during a long trip. According to Uber app, I could get a ride for around $80 each way. For a 10 day trip, seems like a no-brainer assuming I can reliably get a driver on return.

I've done it several times, but sometimes I've had drivers cancel, because they didn't want to drive all that way. It's also really not enough money for them, because they won't get a fare on the way back. I've had to offer to pay extra cash on top of the Uber fare.

You're thinking about dumping $160 on Uber to avoid paying between $80-120 on parking?

Try to avoid renting a rental car from Nola airport at all costs. It adds 60 minutes each way and a horrible bus ride to the rental car facility

My experience is that there are no good transportation options BTR to MSY. Once on a 3-week trip I tried Tiger - LINK
They were fine for both drop off and pick up but had no cost benefit.

We’ve used Uber for extended trips instead of paying for parking. Never had an issue reserving the ride to MSY from BR but for the return have had rides cancelled as we watched the Uber driver go right by us. Always able to get another but may take a few, esp in that traffic congestion for pickup at MSY.
