Jesus H… You and the over reading of my posts.

Nobody is scared. Just saying that a bunch of shite has happened in Munich.

And I’ve been to Germany many times - aware of how well they speak English.

You aren't serious? Chicago,.LA, Nola, Seattle, Portland, Atlanta,.South Dallas, Detroit etc etc etc.

Small pockets of muslims in the UK but zero comparison to our metropolitan shite show.

No shite, sherlock. I wasn't going to list every town with an MLK boulevard in the US. There is a difference between thug on thug violent crime and kids being stabbed in front of museums. Similarly, do I suggest people ride MARTA from the airport to downtown after school lets out carrying multiple laptops, etc.? No. Get a grip.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep planning for Great Britain 2026 then.
There's ~2% of the total acreage of England to avoid to miss problem areas (and these are the slummy parts of cities that you would avoid no matter who lived there).

There's another ~1% of the total acreage of Scotland to avoid, specifically neighborhoods in/around Edinburgh & Glasgow.

Other than that, the whole place is much safer than the US.

I've spent a lot of time in the UK and never felt uncomfortable there as to my personal safety.

In an entire calendar year in the UK, they have less than 30 total firearm murders.

We went in October of last year and stayed in the Holborn area of London. Didn’t run into anything the entire week that made me nervous. If it helps ease your mind, you can sign up for US State Department travel alerts before going. Got a very detailed, informative email from them the night we departed MSY that there would be a pro-Palestinian march through the area where we were staying, but it was all gone by the time we arrived in the neighborhood.
