Jan 2020
Flight to Vancouver from New Orleans was cancelled the morning of. I get to the airport and look for the Air Canada desk, but nobody is there. I go to United Airlines (also Star Alliance), but all they can do is give me the number for Air Canada Customer Service. I called 6 times and can never get through (there was no option to be put on hold). I ended up booking through United and paid an additional $613 .
They gave me a $150 voucher, but I’ll probably never use it.

It’s evident you never flew the original no frills airline ….Value Jet. I watched as maintenance put a piece of masking tape over a gauge, initialed as out of order and told the pilot to “let er rip” Two weeks later they went “out of business” Old but true story.
