Anyone can consistently travel in biz if they want to and make it a hobby out of getting the miles and points that they need. I've "paid" for 11 roundtrip longhaul tickets in biz with miles and points in the last few years, and I have South Africa booked for two people for just after New Years.

Did 14.5 DFW to HK, so 8.5 is nothing. 8.5 is dinner at takeoff (depending on time), talking to your travel companion, then a movie. Get up and go stand in galley, sit down one more movie, go stand in galley, sit down and deal with last 90 mins or so.

1mg Xanax and a drink and I'm out like a light. A trip to San Fran I woke up and the people cleaning the plane were already on it.

When I get on a long flight I move my time to the time at my destination. If in business class I eat the meal with a couple of glasses of wine and take something to make me sleep. Jet lag can destroy a trip.

I just watched second season of Soprano’s on way to Italy. And first season plus Big Lebowski on the way home. Not a bad way to spend 18 hours.
