We love tubing. Was looking at Woodward tubing website…almost $200 for the two of us. I don’t mind spending money, but that seems nuts for tubing
That is crazy. Did you check to see if Park City has tubing?
The Ice Castles would be an awesome choice for a night. It is right by the Nordic Center, they might have some things to you could look into as well.
If you do have a vehicle and want to go to SLC, the Clark Planetarium is free and a great place to spend a few hours.
ETA and if you are going before New Years, the Christmas lights on the Mormon temple are unbelievable.

Woodward is fun but yeah, it's silly expensive. Unfortunately, it's the only place in PC that does it I believe and we did enjoy ourselves once we swallowed the cost
I also agree and always rent a car in PC. it just makes things so much easier and it's an easy drive.

Just booked a trip in CO for Mardi Gras and was doing some reading regarding transport from airport to ski lodge/resort. I planned on renting a 4x4 SUV but read where if it does not have snow tires then the vehicle is not allowed on roads during bad weather. Is this a concern for March and should I plan on a shuttle instead?

4x4 don't need snow tires I don't think. Also, if you are going to a resort along I-70 from denver (Breck, vail, keystone, copper mountain, etc) They keep that road pretty clear during storms. If you are going somewhere with less traffic (telluride, crested butte) the roads might not be as well kept during storms.

Thanks. It’s on 70 so sounds like it shouldnt be an issue.

There isn't too many things as terrifying as coming down from the tunnels or Vail pass in a storm. It snows heavy enough up there and gets cold enough that the plows can't keep up and the mag chloride does nothing.
The law on 70 for passenger vehicles is either snow tires or 4x4 with enough tread on your tires. The law is to help you start going again after you stop on the interstate.
Everyone take this as your annual reminder that 4x4 does not help you stop and jeeps have a high center of gravity so they are awful in the snow.

Thanks. All good stuff to keep in mind.

We are renting 2 cars thru Turo to get to Breck. Most of the cars I’ve looked at seem catered towards ski trips. They specifically mention they’re all wheel drive, have snow tires or both. “Ready for your ski trip”.

Epic shuttle is the way to go for me for those Colorado resorts
No way I want to deal with that drive

46 days from my first ski trip so I decided to reintroduce leg presses, deadlifts and hamstring curls into my gym workout after giving up due to stress fractures in my back.
I’m gonna go ahead and ease on in I said
Today, I couldn’t sit on the toilet without needing to brace myself and can barely tie my shoes.
One of these years I’ll learn.

Interesting. My Jeep has yet to come across a storm it couldn’t handle in the last 6 years. If the road is open, it’s making it.

70 would close if there was enough snow down for that to be a problem.

Mrs Derp and I hit Vail every year. Mid Feb for 6 days of skiing. The highlight of our calendar. Vail is the GOAT imo of course. Been to Whistler, Breck, Stubai Glacier, Steamboat

The mountains are calling, and I must go.
