Any suggestions on somewhere in Park City to watch LSU vs aTm
It’s our last night there and we have to go return our ski gear anyway so we will be out..i know once we make it back to our house we won’t leave but figured since we’re out already and don’t have an early morning on departure day, we can watch the tiger somewhere (hoping it will be a night game)

$276 - Flight from MSY to BOI
$327 - 4 Night Stay in McCall
$104 - 4 day car rental
$299 - Indy Ski Pass (2 days at Tamarack, 2 days at Brundage)
Total - $1006 for 4 days skiing

Solo trips have become my favorite trips. I can go to places that really may have been a tough sell for a group. Like when I went to Crystal Mountain last year, the mountain has some of the best skiing in the country but it is a bit of an adventure getting there and if you stay there it is the most basic lodging you can think of with one place to eat. It is a skiers mountain, far from a destination resort. Of course I didn't care and had a blast skiing with some locals I met one of the days.

Try and get to No Name Saloon early. Not a ton of TVs but if it’s a night game there should be a large crowd there as it’s one of the long time bars that most people are aware of

Same for me as one year I flew to Albuquerque and drove 5 plus hours to ride at Wolf Creek. I stayed in South Fork which is very basic accommodations/limited food vs Pagosa Springs(more built up) as the Pagosa side of the pass closes more often in storms. During my few days that side of the pass did close and the mountain was empty as only the South Fork side could access.

What is y'alls favorite base in Heavenly? Got 7 guys going, trying to figure out what base to go to. Upper 20s, like to have a good time.

Stagecoach by far. If you get there about 30 minutes before the lifts open you will be able to find easy free parking that is close to the lift. And the lift never has a line outside of when it first opens and people are waiting for the lift to begin.

Of course our first day in ski school is Nov 24 LOL
Our vacation plans since COVID have been disastrously funny
Park City Mountain delaying the start of ski season, and others may follow suit

Not surprised about the delayed opening, just had a very warm and rainy week/start to the weekend in the PNW. Don't think Crystal is opening by next Friday either but we'll see.
I did just book some trips last night given some very cheap airfare
Heavenly early Jan
Whistler MLK weekend
Taos valentine's weekend
Will probably throw in a trip to CO and Salt Lake as well besides the local mountains in WA, OR and ID

Colorado is supposed to be wide open if you can change flights. About to head off to the slopes now.

Jealous, have fun
Also just booked a trip to SLC for last weekend in January. I'm wondering if it's worth having our own equivalent of a travel board calendar with destinations/who will be there and when to organize some meetups?

The big resorts in Colorado are open now but nature isnt helping at all. Its been an extremely meager snow yield along the divide so far this year.
Monarch has zero snow. You can still get to the top of Shavano (14er) without going through any snow. Farther north has been slightly better, but Cooper near Leadville is facing a late start (Dec 10 estimate).
I hope most of yall are looking to come more like January, because this pattern aint getting better before December.

I hit Vail Sunday. 1 chair and 3 runs open. It was hot, but beautiful.

Today is last day to buy any Epic passes or epic day passes at 20% off if you know you will be going to any Epic Resorts this season.

Is there transportation from Silverthorne to Breck and Vail?
Posted on 11/23/21 at 9:45 am to VanRIch
Summit Stage is a free bus service that'll get you around Summit County. And there's Uber.
I'm unsure of the best way to get a ride to/from Vail.

Yeah after doing some research it seems Vail will be the challenge.
