Question about Keystone. Weather report shows winds of 10-15 mph daily for the next 2 weeks. Is this typical for that area?

10-15 mph isn’t bad at all. 30 mph is when it starts getting noticeable for me when skiing

On the side of a mountain? Yeah that's pretty normal. You won't notice that really.

For sure. My friend was in Taos this weekend and said it was fantastic.

Anon’s magnetic lense system is top notch, plus the magnetic neck gaiter/ buff/ Covid mask is clutch right now in the lift lines.

I was hoping to closer to the mountain, but Main Street Station looks like it is coming back into play.

Thanks. I just recall it being reported as “light and variable” last year in Park City. 10-15mph had me worried about my kids.

I fly out for Beaver Creek on Friday. Should get a decent amount of precipitation by then. I'm worried it may be too warm and end up as rain / ice

At that elevation? Shouldn't be a problem. The Wednesday storm might have some rain at the base of the lower mountains but the good snow is going to come Wednesday night and warmth won't be a problem. Plus then a cold period begins for the next week or so.

By Friday it'll be NW flow over Colorado and well, that ain't too warm in February.

I think you picked a good time to fly out.

If anything, you picked the best time of the year so far to get out there. We're predicted to get about 15-18 inches of snow starting Wednesday through the weekend. That's about 20% of total snowfall for most of the central Colorado resorts for the 2020-2021 season. Most weeks the resorts have been getting a few inches at most.

Leaving Copper Mountain today and this place has been awesome. Realized I’m not a great skier but they had some great instructors and a few easy slopes I was able to do.

That's what I was thinking but their official website had me worried:

I appreciate the response though. It looks like it's started and seems to be nice conditions so far

Looks like we finally decided on Vail. I'm looking into restaurants now since advance reservations are pretty much a Covid must. Staying on the Vail Village side. Anyone have an opinion on any of these?

Peppi's
Lancelot
Vendetta's
The Fitz
Bol

Any others?

My son is having a birthday while there. I was thinking we would do Lancelot for his birthday diner.

PC has had some good snow lately. 280 of the 347 runs are open. Has some coming over the next few days and then it’s snowing the first four days we’re there. Know that’s a ways off for forecasting but they been pretty good the past few weeks. Whole mountain might be open by the time we get there.
