A kid died on Breck’s peak 7 today. That’s extremely sad.

Some windbuff today at Jackson. We missed out on the foot they were calling for overnight, but it still ski'd great.

Day 25 on the season, and it just keeps getting better. I cannot wait for the snowpack to get deeper and stabilize. The amount of backcountry terrain accessible around Jackson Hole is insane.

I’m making a quick trip this weekend to Stratton, VT with the GF (no pics).

Base is 24”

Ah well, gotta dial in my new sled before heading to Austria late Jan.

GF (no pics) lives in Brooklyn and I’m not out West at the moment. Late minute Christmas gift.

The Orca will be my first directional hammer in 21 seasons. Kinda psyched for the tune up.

Avalanche danger has to be off the charts. Pack your beacons kids, and pull out the inflatable backpacks.

I was minutes after the inbounds avalanche at Jackson Hole earlier this December.

15 caught on the slope; 3 partially buried; 2 critically buried. Pretty wild. The slope had been bombed and mitigated all season. Skiers traversed below some cliff bands and the slab released deep in the snowpack on a weak layer from November.

Makes ya think about wearing a beacon inbounds, especially at JHMR.

considering a beacon costs about 300 bucks, why not if you put in lots of days on mountain.

I’m kind of bummed about the snowfall so far.

Hopefully we get some good snow this week.

The Crepes place is overrated AF

I mean its a perfectly fine crepe but boggles my fricking mind why people will wait in the cold for 30 minutes for a $15 crepe

Go get some GOAT wings at Ollies, better than that.

Full-moon-winter-solstice ski on Mt. Glory tonight.

Nice layer of some windblown snow. Clouds didn't make it quite the experience we wanted, but the snow made it so worth it. Only car parked at the top of Teton Pass. That's a rarity.

Yeah, I'm sure I'm just remembering it fondly because we had them at Ullr Fest and it was just part of the whole experience. Will for sure hit up Ollies.

Carry on. If you have a power strap you can connect them together and throw over your shoulder. Worst case scenario is southwest loses your bags and you don’t have your boots and have to rent some with 1000 days on them.

In Breck until the 1st. Breck is skiing pretty good today, just a lot of people.

Anyone else in the area?

A slow start in the alps so far. Love the views and scenery, but damn miss dry Utah, Colorado deep snow.
