I had PS Vue for years. Loved it. Switched to YouTube tv when I heard about the cancellation of ps Vue. I like it but it looks like crap on my lg oled tv. The Lsu game was terrible but I chalked it up to lots of people in my house. It hasn’t gotten better. Games are blurry. I called and upgraded my internet package from att but it hasn’t helped. Maybe a little. Anybody else have problems?

Short answer.... No, mines great

We just did a trial of YouTubeTV and didn't notice a lot of difference for most channels. However, ESPN on DirecTV was noticeably better than the YouTubeTV version (if you're scrutinizing). Something about the static graphics on ESPN just didn't play as nicely with YouTubeTV.
I made no effort to fix it, and but for a contract issue it wouldn't have kept me from moving to YTTV. We have gigabit and were running it through an Apple TV 4K so I'm not sure if there was anything we could really do to change it.

Could have been something else. All I know is I have a Vizio 4k TV I bought a couple of years ago and YTTV looks great on it.
Could it have been bandwidth getting used by too may people at once?

i run my main tv through the LG app on the tv and my picture is way better through youtube tv than through directv.

I use the YouTube tv app on my LG OLED and it looks better than on my fire TV stick.

When that happens on my LG OLED I turn off the App, not just choose another app, but close the all entirely so that it has to restart, by turning off the TV. I turn it back on, restart YouTubeTV and that usually does it.
I also have switched to playing it from my phone then casting it to the TV.
I also have used the ESPN app and that works fine, too.
Options, man. Options!

We have YTTV and I've never noticed a consistent picture quality issue. I'm using a Roku Ultra with 250 Mbps internet.

Related to this thread but strictly about picture quality. Don't all the big boys (YTTV, Hulu w/ live TV) all broadcast in 1080p at 60fps now? Unsure if any do 5.1 audio yet but maybe for their DVRd programs?
That and streaming live tv in 4k (albeit compressed, like FuboTV does) seem to be the future of streaming TV services.

Is the shite. Installed it yesterday and I am very impressed.

My only real concern with YTTV is that they probably track EVERY single thing we'd watch. Then again, we currently have Hulu w/ Live TV and they're owned by Disney now so I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume they're monitoring everything too.
Guess it's just the world we live in so I might as well get used to it.

Finally cutting the chord.
Spectrum has been arse pounding me for 230 bucks a month.
YouTube TV has literally everything I want minus A&E (which I can live without).
My cost will go down by over half

Yes and no. ESPN and FS1 are all broadcasted in 720p natively. Nothing anyone can do about that (including cable and satellite providers)
As far as frame rate, Hulu only supports 60 fps on certain devices. Chromecast is a hit or miss and Android TV is limited to 30 fps. I only got 60 fps on Fire TV and Roku.
YouTubeTV has the smoothest streaming experience and I experienced 60 fps on every device I put it on. I rarely got any hiccups in streaming quality. They are the best when it comes to picture quality (and cheapest now as well).
While At&t TV supports 60 fps, their service flat out sucks. They have less channels and they cost more. They also lack Android TV support and their Chromecast feature is a stuttering mess.
I've never tried sling because they limit ESPN to one stream per account.

YouTubeTV is almost unwatchable on my iPad. It's a fairly new iPad Pro, about a year and a half old. Stream constantly pixelates and re-buffers. Works great on every other device including the iPhones. I've even tried turning off Wifi to every device in the house except the iPad and it still sucks. Hulu, Netflix, HBO Go, and Amazon Prime all stream fine on the iPad.
Anyone have any ideas?

Have you uninstalled the app and tried downloading it again?
Posted on 1/3/20 at 2:01 pm to tlsu15
Yes. That actually did work for a day or two before it went back to acting up.

YouTube TV does NOT stream in 4K. That may be what’s causing the disappointing picture quality.
Hulu, AmazonPrime, and Netflix all stream in 4K

Not Hulu live/on demand TV channels though.
