My 6 is crapping out on me and I need to upgrade. Would you go to an 8 or a 10? Thanks.

Honestly, I'm in the minority but I just went and picked up an iPhone 8+ the other day. I like the bigger phone even if the ihpone x has a larger display. It's still a small phone when compared to the 7+ or 8+.

Just gotta ask yourself if you like the larger phone or want something smaller.

Thats the biggest thing I am unsure about. I am used to larger phones, but this is smaller, with more screen. I actually didnt even play with or hold the X before buying. If I dont want it, my wife will take it in a heartbeat over her 7.

Check Apple store app at 6-615am if you want to pick up same day. That’s when they update stock.

I'd go for with the 8. The 10 is not worth an extra $200, especially with it having less features then the 8.

I have a 6+ and I'm holding out for an X+ next year.

I got the X and love it. I had the original 6 plus. The X has a bigger screen and smaller case.

You also have to deal with at least a little while the black bars on the side because of the aspect ratio. It's taller.

I think with the new screen comes with a plethora of gestures to use instead of the physical button.

Yes, it has a bigger diagonal, but the width of the screen is smaller. In a 16:9 ratio, the X screen is only 5.15" where on the + it is 5.5"

i bought one and ultimately just returned it yesterday. probably should have posted on here if anyone wanted to buy it.

just wasn't for me.

Pros:
- screen is gorgeous
- face id is legit

cons:
-didn't like the smaller screen size stepping down from 6+
- not having home button, and clearing background apps

ultimately i just preferred the size and familiarity of the 6 +, so i went with the 8 + and i'm happy. and it's a little cheaper.

Just like when the IPhone got rid of the pen dependency, the X get’s rid of the need for a button on the screen.

Screen,
Face ID
No screen button
Compact size, screen takes up most of the phone

Best phone ever.

not having home button

This has actually been the biggest surprise for me. I much prefer the gestures to an actual home button now as everything is so much faster. Double clicking the home button to multitask just feels dated now when I play on my 7 Plus.

and clearing background apps

This is the only thing with the new gestures I have found to like less on my X. I would prefer some sort of swipe gesture incorporated to close apps and miss that function.
