Currently have Cox 500mps. What’s best alternative and cost for similar speed and performance. This old man may finally cut the cable.. TIA.

Do they offer AT&T fiber at your place?

Are you talking about something like T-Mobile wireless internet? I'm guessing you're not getting 500mb on any wireless service.

If you have Rev fiber available in your area, make the switch. I ditched Cox and have zero regrets.

Your Wi-Fi cost should be a one time fixed rate of about $100. Now internet monthly service is different.

It would be best for you to go to the various sites for any internet providers in your area. Any alternatives/costs will be specific to your area and speeds that you choose. Not sure of any site that will give you the breakdown for all companies, so you may need to jump on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verzion, Earthlink and see what they offer for your specific neighborhood/address. IMO, unless you can get AT&T Fiber to your house, you will be better off with Cox.
FYI, you can still have Cox Internet and just drop their cable services and use one of the many streaming/Live-TV platforms

Rev is more expensive but I went with them when we moved. I have not reset the router once in the 2 years of service. My parents are switching to REV from Cox because of constant issues.

If you have AT&T fiber available switch to them. I did last year cut my bill in half and still get 1 gig
