The absolute worst thing in the world is to involve the words laptop, live sports, and dudes that have been drinking (in your parlance, guys that have played at least nine holes before they came over.)

Is making your life this complicated supposed to have your friends bring you free bottles of bourbon or something? Is this compensation for not having a $15k golf cart? The thread has gone through what could be five or six $400 TVs to a projector powered by a laptop, whose cord will never be tripped over, to power a 150" projector with multiple potential displays from different channels from whatever streaming service (I'm assuming pirated) you use over what is a laptop you likely got at Costco. You sound like a chick planning a wedding.

You live in Dallas, Frisco, or Prosper, don't you?

This is one solution
LINK

If you’re spending $ on 4-65s, the roughly $600 for the right matrix switch isn’t an issue.

Not recommending this product but it’s along the lines of what you are looking for.

Setting up your independent streaming feeds is a separate issue.

I’ve never seen a consumer projection setup that looked good without BIG $$$ spent on all the details (light, screen, projector).

YOu might be amazed at what a well-researched budget PJ system can do IF you can and are willing to control the light in the room and aren't trying to use one of the tiny sub $1,000 UST projectors. Quality DIY screen material is actually cheap unless you need ALR and even then there are budget ALR screen materials that are reasonable. If you are not willing to live with low light in the room then basically no PJ will look steller, even something like a $25k Sony XW7000 or JVC NZ9.

For a high lumen lamp based overhead mount PJ the BenQ TK850i is a solid budget choice.

For a high output laser based UST PJ the Epson LS300 would be a good choice.

There are better choices as you increase the budget.

4 65" TV will give you about 113" wide screen. Honestly, I wouldn't even think of a screen broken up with bezels over a projector screen as long as light can be controlled in the room but I have had large PJ screens in my HT for over 10 years and everything you lose is more than made up for by what you gain. However, there are tradeoffs like everything in life.

No knock on your PJ. My business partner has raved about his for years and I agree. It’s pretty fantastic. But it is in his basement in a zero to low ambient light environment and that matters.

With that said there are zero bezel flat screens for video walls that make it damn near invisible. Being close up does make it a bit more prevalent as opposed to the PJ output but it’s certainly viable, especially if there is an appreciable amount of ambient light.

The viewing environment will really drive the setup for best user experience.

Yeah I am not going to have many windows in the room I am doing. The only window area will be a 8x10 rolling garage which I will prolly tint the windows on it as well. That will be the only light maybe to get in my space when its a pretty day and we have the garage opened up to the room again from where the garage starts will be a big covered porch so it will be shaded. Thats why I am thinking of going with the AWOL Ultra short throw projector most likely.
