Wuuuuuut? The iphone has changed chargers exactly once in 11 years.
The wireless chargers I have from my S7 work with my s9+, do the wireless chargers for apple from 2 years ago work on the new phone? Nevermind, I forgot apples just started charging wirelessly.

I’ve made the change twice and regretted it each time.
First time I was stuck with it for two years. Second time I had the note 7 and was luckily able to trade in within a month and avoid the regret.
But also everyone in my social circle and family have iPhones.

The only things that ever have me considering an iPhone are:
1)Apps. Because Apple is a closed environment, it's easier to code for. So a lot of newer apps start out on iPhone. Some never get to Android.. There are some specific apps I'd really like to have but can't.
2)Almost everyone else in my family and my wife's family uses iPhones, so the interop in group communication is a shitty experience for me.

I've always used android mobile devices. I have zero interest in ever owning apple anything. And there is nothing wrong with that. I like my removable battery and expandable external memory feature. I do not like that Mrs browl's galaxy s6 does not have a microsd card slot.
I think it would be cool if someone would come up with a way to make it so android people and apple people could video conference hangout/FaceTime.

You'd really really like the OnePlus 5T. It is very very smooth and only around 500. I have the 8GB RAM version.
Looks like a nice and affordable alternative but the lack of expandable storage is show stopper for us.

The pixel 2 doesn't have expandable storage either though

I've jumped from apple to android and back to apple. If android had imessage, they'd destroy apple.
Main draw for Apple for me. I'm a life long Apple user, who briefly went to Android, then went back to iPhone for the 6S Plus and have been back since, currently with an iPhone X.

I’ve been with Apple since the beginning and I decided it was time to switch so I bought an Samsung android phone. Had it for a month and ran back to my iPhone. What a piece of shite that was.
And someone made a comment about old people.... Both my teenaged sons, and my three newphews think Android is shite. They are all rich NYC kids.

Nexus/Pixel users are easily the master race of phone users. It's been that way since the Nexus 4. The offer unmatched user experience. If you use Gmail, Google Calendar, Google photos, Google assistant, YouTube, Google Maps, Keep etc then you are losing tightly woven integration if you don't have the Pixel. It's by far the smartest smart phone.
Samsungs have the best design and hardware, but have the worst version of Android and have too many low quality duplicate apps that are already baked into the OS.
When I spoke to a Samsung rep about their shitty duplicate apps like bixby and etc. He reminded me that Google and all of it's suite of apps are banned in countries like China so Samsung has to have their own apps for countries where Google doesn't do business. Samsung by far has the best combination of display, camera, battery technology, and design. If they would only get serious about software.
Apple is just a solid, safe, boring choice. They are middle of the pack at everything, but the only real deal breaker is the lack of customization and overall freedom. The value just isn't their either. If you pay 1100 or 1200 bucks for a device you want it to be more than solid.
Solid camera, not as good as the Pixel or the Samsungs. Solid display better than the Pixel, but not as good as the Samsung. Solid user experience that's not on the level of stock Android on the Pixel, but better than Samsung's version of Android.
It's a safe choice and some people like that. It's like the Honda Accord of cell phones.
