Thoughts on Sonos Beam ?

Would like some opinions on the Sonos Beam compact soundbar. Costco has them for $349 and I have $75 cash back coming from my Costco CC so the cash out would be around $275
Not a real audiophile but I'm looking to get a little better sound out of the TV, specifically while streaming Amazon / HBO over a Roku Ultra. I sometimes need to replay small sections as the dialog audio sometimes is hard to understand. The TV is a Sony Bravia and does have an ARC port. My understanding is all that needs connected for tv sound would be the TV ARC to the Sonos HDMI...correct ?
Also would I be able to stream ripped CD's over WIFI to the soundbar ?
Opinions ? I've not followed home entertainment for a long long time.

Some here shite on Sonos but I love mine. More expensive but the quality is great if you don’t have to be an audio genius with a receiver setup and 7.1.
Throw in the sub if you can afford it and it’s all youll need. We blare our movies. Us the app to add your music streaming services and listen to music when not watching tv.

I have the beam and sub in my living room. My living room is bigger than what the beam is supposed to be used for but I can’t tell. I’m no audiophile but I think is sounds perfectly fine. It’s definitely a huge improvement over the TV speakers.

Thanks all, think I'll pick one up early next week. Need to use my Costco rebate and don't need $75 worth of cashews and fish sticks.

If it’s for a smaller room, it’s more than adequate. Like another poster stated, get a pair of the play ones to pair with it.

I have one for my TV on my patio. No sub and it sounds pretty good.
I’m gonna pair a couple Play 1’s to it eventually.

I've got both a Beam and Playbar on secondary TVs and they are pretty good. A very big improvement over TV speakers.
I was surprised with the Beam on how much sound it can produce. I've got it in my living room that is 16x16 which is part of a much bigger open space with dining room and kitchen. The Beam can get pretty loud even in that space.

I absolutely love mine. My living room isn't massive so it is sufficient. My FIL has it paired as stereo with two 1s. That is a badass setup.

I have the beam paired with 2 ones and love it. It's quite weird when I hear birds chirping from behind. Lol

Can someone share a link to the beam and 1s (I am clueless but interested)

Any chance we‘ll see a price drop once the new generation is available?

This looks about right. It's been a while since I set it up. Super easy in the app. LINK

The beam is new gen tech. They go on sale around christmas, and if you or someone you know is a veteran, AAFES is always cheaper than retail on sonos, and no taxes.
It’s super easy to set up surround sound with Sonos. I have a beam with play ones and a sub. When you use the app to optimize the sound through the app, it regulates to the room. A beam is best suited for smaller rooms.
