Just had the 100MBPS installed at my home. I know it's kind of ridiculous to ask for opinions after I had it installed, but I was curious what the board thought of the service.

$50.00 for 100 MBPS is solid, IMO. It's not LUS Fiber, but I'll take it.

We have had the full gig ATT fiber net for a while now. Only issues have been when the installer stretched the cable too tight and it ended up getting kinked coming into the house. Other than that, flawless. You may wish to protect the point where fiber comes out of the ground with a piece of pipe. I don't think its weedeater proof, and I don't want to find out.

I signed up for the gig speeds, but don't get anywhere near those speeds. And it goes out every time it gets cloudy outside.

It does push the 3 TCL (wiFi) TVs and handle my bittorrents pretty flawlessly though...

I have the 1Gig fiber with ATT.

I love it. Seeing 900mbps up and down at end devices which is pretty awesome

Do you have to use their router or can you use your own? That was always my problem with at&t and is keeping me with cox.

It's a shared line and is Fiber to the node. Wait until all of your neighbors are pulling a gig. In big neighborhoods it will very noticeable.
And if you are having issues with weather, it's not glass, it's copper.

yes I know and that's what pisses me off.

But on average it goes out a couple times a week, ~15-20 minutes at a time...

if ten people in Denham sign up for Fibre, I'll run new lines myself...

I have glass lines coming to my house..I watched them pull it, cut it too short, pull it, break it, pull it, connect it properly..Three of them came inside for the speed tests on my xbox and one was sending pictures to other crews based on my results

What I said is that if weather is effecting your bandwidth, it is not glass. That is not speculation, either it is not effecting your signal/bandwidth or it is not glass.

AT&T Gigabit Fiber was ran in my neighborhood, but they stopped running it after about 34 houses. We still have 60+ houses in our subdivision, but they haven't made any plans to run more line. It's frustrating as hell since I'm paying cox $100 for 300 Mpbs.

got it..the reply was to me, so I clarified my situation..Agreed though that with glass you either have a signal or don't

I'm stuck without fiber as well. I got rid of cox cause they were incompetent liars. I get more reliable service from my 12mbps from ATT than i did from my 100 mbps w cox.

I pay $80/mo for gig with them. I'm always 900+ u/d. It was half the price of Comcast for 10x the speed.
