the only glaring issue has been spotty fingerprint recognition. pretty bizarre how this has regressed. i do have a screen protector on though, and someone said that the screen protector mode needs to be turned on to adjust the sensitivity levels. i dunno, still bizarre.

this is a you thing. i havent had any issues with the fingerprint reader on my 9XL.

The Galaxy Plus is probably about the same as the 9 Pro.

I understand, really do. I had reception problems with 7pro and 8 pro. My 5a didn't have those problems. It's that damn exnyos chip and modem. Supposedly the 9pro has a new modem but I'll wait and see how the reception is before I bite again.

could be, probably is

I've deleted and added fingerprints a few times to get better consistency, it seems to be working better now.

There's a "touch sensitivity" setting to turn on when using a screen protector.

I wish they'd go back to rear fingerprint sensors.

can adjust the volume of the ringer or alarm. Is that what you’re talking about? It’s as simple as adjusting a slider.

On iOS, it is the same setting so you cannot set them differently.

Maybe once upon a time, but I just did it.

It’s an independent setting. You just change volume of the alarm.

Then, if you want to change the volume of the ringer you can do that too.

I just checked. Still can't do it. One volume setting for both. They are not independent.

I see where the issue is. My normal alarm is setup within the sleep app. It allows control over volume independently of any other settings.

The “normal” alarm function does not allow control over volume within the app.

for real...my 7 was plenty bright enough to see in any sunlight. Can't imagine needing more
