Currently, subscribers are limited to 2 active feeds/streams in use at any time. I have rarely ever used more than one at a time...so I'm fine with this.

Wish their beta DVR on the Roku worked.

I wonder how much they're going to charge for the DVR and if they'll have a free lite version.

I figured they would do these roll outs for extra. I am sure since I am still on there startup deal of the $60 package for $35 I would have to get a "new" package and not get that same deal. I dont need more streams tho so im good....for now.

From one of those threads on reddit

quote:

I took a order flow training and it showed 2 dvr options. The first was free 20 hours and the second was $10 for 100 hours. It also showed $5 for a third stream. It did not have launch date though.

LINK /

20 hours is pretty skimpy. $10 for a DVR = PSVue's recent $10 increase.

Kind of off subject. I have had DTv now since launch. I really like it. However, it has showed my I don't watch network TV. I could drop everything and just pay for series that I like and come ahead.

I cancelled DTV last Summer. They called me twice weekly to reconnect until I went off on a "5 minute frick you storm"
I think they removed me from their calling list because I haven't heard from them in over a month.

I just signed up for a month and the free fire tv deal. Good thing I already have a few fire sticks. My email said i would receive my FireTV in 2-3 weeks.

Meh, I've been 100% satisfied with DTVNow...especially at $35/month. I've never once thought about the 2-stream limit. It's me and the wife with 2 young daughters. So if there is any streaming going on the kids' tablets, it's straight through the channel apps (i.e. Disney Now or Nick Jr). Those don't count against the limit. Honestly, with all of the network apps out there, I don't foresee my family ever needing more than 2 active streams at a time.

I will say, cutting the cable is a nice thing but the "too many streams" error is a pain. It is only my wife and I in our townhome and if she is watching tv on the second floor and I am watching downstairs and we decide to go up to bed, there is no good way of saying "OK Apple TV/Roku I am not streaming anymore. I want to use the stream upstairs". It takes a specific amount of time before DTV registers that a stream has ended.
