Is there a way to prevent ir from getting really blurry when I send it through text? Kinda difficult for my dad and brother to see how hard it's snowing this way.

You just said the problem.
Unless you are using RCS on Google messages, the video is compressed. I usually send them through FB messenger or email. Whatsapp and Telegram good ones too.

The android needs to be using the Google messages app for texting and the iPhone needs to be running iOS 18. Then the video will send in the RCS format which will not degrade the quality.

Make sure the apple sheep has their phone updated to iOS 18.
Or make sure both Android phones are using RCS

Most iPhone people I know upgraded to 18 so it's not an issue with Google messages

All you have to do is hit send from Google photos and use creating a link. You can then send the link via text message and they can access the video in high definition from Google photos.
This is how I've done it for years with Apple people. My wife refuses to move to Android and I can't stand Apple

With Apple moving RCs I no longer have that problem. Sending high quality videos via text

This is also the single best way to share bulk photos with people on all platforms. Select a huge batch of vids and pics, create a link and text away. (You also have the option to share directly to someone's GMail address inside Google Photos. This is actually the way I prefer to give/receive. I've trained nearly everyone in my orbit with or without Android to do this. As far as I can tell Apple photos or whatever it's called CANNOT do this).
