Electricity went out and now it won’t get power.

65in, 2014.

Worth looking into getting fixed or buy new?

TIA

See if you can find a spare power cord first. Check different outlets.

Typically I’d say TVs are so cheap just buy a new one but supplies are low in some parts.

Have you tried unplugging the power cord from outlet and let sit for a few minutes then plugging back in?

might wait longer

Did this last year and nothing. So bought a new TV and on a whim replugged the old one and it powered up. It's worked ever since.... probably sat a week unplugged.

YMMV and have no idea how long to wait.

Just be careful about equipment placement. Had a switch on a ups get fried last month. I assume it was static electricity because it was sitting on our vpn equipment.

It’s been unplugged for over a week. Tried swapping power cords with another I know is working. Along with an outlet I know is working… nothing.

Thanks for the help everyone

Honestly man, go online to Tvpartstoday type in the model number of your TV and order you a new power board… they are so ridiculously simple to replace… lay the tv down on a bed, take out all the screws from the back of the tv and pop the back off, there will be 3-4 boards back there, find the power board unplug the 1-2 plugs and take the 4 screws out then install a the new board and put the back back on the tv plug it in and bam… I can change a board on TVs in like 20 mins it’s so easy and fixes it for under $100

If it's a plasma, I'd do what I could to save it.

I had a Sony that had failed power supply board like 3 times under warranty, so I got to watch the techs change them. The hardest part was taking out all the screws. The rest was pretty simple. Unplug old, plug in new.
