Samsung HW-Q990D
Woot has this for just under $1k.
Seems like a good price compared to what you can get it for elsewhere.
But it is a lot higher priced than other soundbar/ subwoofer/ speaker systems
Reviews seem like this is a really good soundbar
Anyone have one for comments? Or other sound bar recommendations?

I'd say depends on what kind of TV you are gonna run it through. I went with LG to stay brand-same and I can use the TV remote rather than have a separate one for audio. That's all I got. No experience with surround sound.

I have a 990C (so a year older model). I've had zero problems and really like it. The 990 is generally regarded as the best value in soundbars. Although the 930 is $200 cheaper and not far off.
If you can wait a few days it might be worth it to see what Samsung will be showing off at CES. They've worked with Google on a new bit of tech that will be in their 2025 soundbars.

It's a fantastic high end system. I have the 2023 model (Q990C) and it pairs great with a Samsung S90C OLED. I'm sure it sounds just as good with other brand TVs.
That's a great price too. I paid $1300 around a year ago for mine. If I recall from reading earlier reviews, the only upgrade from the Q990C to the Q990D is HDMI 2.1 support.

Be careful, Woot has previously sent out the Canadian version of the Q990D which can be a pita if you run into any issues that require you to use your warranty.

We have the 700 series which just a step down. Get at least 700 because it connects to WiFi (AirPlay, etc) and the 600 doesn’t.
Don’t expect home theater sound but it’s 100x better than the tv.
My family had 1x 600 and 1x 700 both lost their ability to keep an ARC connection. No big deal if you watch everything through a single device(Roku ultra for us) but I wouldn’t trust them if that’s not a backup option.

It really is. I checked and it's only about $20 more than my employee pricing. You'll never fins it cheaper.

Bumping this for an update. Samsung has dropped the EPP price to $900. If a first time purchase they’ll give a $50 coupon, and people have been successful getting a 10% coupon through the Samsung order chat, bringing the price down to $760 pretax.
